OUR ROOTS
RescueFund was launched in the Spring of 2024 with a mission to reduce animal suffering by broadening the fundraising pool for local shelters in Carteret County . We succeeded and in our first year raised over $30,000 for the Humane Society.
However, we soon realized how quickly the funds were being depleted given the cost of food, medical, employees and building maintenance. It became clear that constantly raising money for shelters could go on forever and ever. We needed to get to the root of the problem...pet overpopulation, and the suffering of animals that comes with it.
Our sole mission is to fundraise for an aggressive spay/netuer initiative on behalf of rescues, shelters and those who cannot afford it. We strive to make fixing an animal easy and affordable to all, and to educate as many people we can.
